NEWSROOM – Pitch Perfect 3, which came out in December, has received only 96.1 million USD of grosses at box office by far according to Google – much lower than its predecessors.

The series follows an acappella group named the Bellas.  Continuing the story of the first two films, the third one is presented in a new perspective.

Since most members of the Bellas have graduated from college, and new jobs are not as appealing as many of them imagined, the Bellas want to get back together to put on performances once again.  They decide to introduce themselves to the famous music producer, DJ Khaled, hoping to get their titles back.

Pitch Perfect 3 receives a rating of 6.3 out of 10 on IMDB and a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes “tomatometer.”  However, Google users give a high rate of 90% to this movie, representing a whole different view of an ordinary audience, as opposed to authoritative and professional film critics.

Stanwich Senior, Brandon McClean, shared his opinion of the movie.

“It is a funny movie, but it’s not as good as the first two.  The first one is still the best.”

According to, Kay Cannon, Pitch Perfect screenwriter, said that Pitch Perfect 3 might be the last one of this series; however, it’s possible there still might be one in the future.
